No-Bake Pizza Sauce (14" Pizza)

Ingredients

  • 1 × 28 oz jar high-quality plum tomatoes (San Marzano or equivalent)

  • Kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tomatoes

    • If crushed: pour into a bowl and use as is.

    • If whole: pour into a bowl.

      • If the liquid is thick, keep it. If watery, drain it.

      • Crush the tomatoes by hand until smooth but still slightly chunky.

  2. Season

    • Add salt to taste — about ½ teaspoon to start, then adjust.

  3. Portion for pizza

    • Spread about ¾ cup (175 g) of sauce evenly over the 14" pizza dough, leaving a ½–¾ inch border.

    • Save the rest in the fridge (up to 3 days) or freeze for next time.

  4. Use immediately

    • No simmering — the sauce cooks right on the pizza in the oven, keeping a bright, fresh tomato flavor
