No-Bake Pizza Sauce (14" Pizza)
Ingredients
1 × 28 oz jar high-quality plum tomatoes (San Marzano or equivalent)
Kosher salt, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the tomatoes
If crushed: pour into a bowl and use as is.
If whole: pour into a bowl.
If the liquid is thick, keep it. If watery, drain it.
Crush the tomatoes by hand until smooth but still slightly chunky.
Season
Add salt to taste — about ½ teaspoon to start, then adjust.
Portion for pizza
Spread about ¾ cup (175 g) of sauce evenly over the 14" pizza dough, leaving a ½–¾ inch border.
Save the rest in the fridge (up to 3 days) or freeze for next time.
Use immediately
No simmering — the sauce cooks right on the pizza in the oven, keeping a bright, fresh tomato flavor
