September Slice Mob Meetup
The Mob rolled into Southington and packed out Barb’s for our September meetup. Big crew, big pies, big laughs. That’s how it’s supposed to go.
I went in on three standouts:
• Chicken Bacon Ranch with Jalapeños – Creamy ranch cutting through salty bacon, with jalapeños adding just the right kick. Comfort food with attitude.
• Sausage, Peppers & Onions – Pure street cart meets pizzeria. Sweet onions, roasted peppers, and hearty sausage piled high on that Metro-North style crust.
• Garlic Knots with Garlic Cream Topping – These deserve their own round of applause. Buttery knots already loaded with garlic, then crowned with a rich garlic cream. Over the top? Absolutely. And that’s why we loved them.
Barb’s style hits in that NY-meets-CT lane, crisp enough for the fold, chewy enough to satisfy. The dough has flavor, the exterior has crunch, and the toppings are plentiful without feeling heavy.
Barb’s isn’t chasing trends, just serving up honest, flavorful pizza. And when you’re with the Slice Mob, that’s the only box that matters.
